Mumbai: Rashid Khan, the youngest captain of Afghanistan, scalped 6/49 to help his side thrash Bangladesh by 224 runs in the one-off Test in Chittagong. Afghanistan recorded their win in Test cricket history, after their victory against Ireland in March this year.

Following the win, the Afghani fans erupted, and the first one to do so was Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) Chief Executive’s Shafiq Stanikzai who shared a video which went viral.  As soon as Stanikzai shared the video, it went viral in no time. Sharing the video, the ACB CEO tweeted, "This is what it means to us as Nation, love u all #BlueTigers. @rashidkhan_19 u r a living super star in the cricket globe @MohammadNabi007 am sure u must be happy for such a wonderful ending of ur test career."

During the match, Rashid Khan claimed 6/49 to equal Australia's long-standing record of becoming the second nation to register two wins in Test cricket. The Rashid Khan-led team beat Bangladesh despite the rains and fading lights, to script a historic win for the war-affected country that became a permanent member of the International Cricket Council in 2017.

Rashid Khan who scalped 11 wickets during the match, stated, "We won this game against a side like Bangladesh. We are new to this format, so credit goes to the coaching staff for their support. Everyone applied themselves and stuck to their plans."
