Score, India 153-4 from 17.3 overs ( Dinesh Karthik 39*, Manish Pandey 42*; Akila Dananjaya 2/19), beat SL by 6 wickets.
Colombo: India defeated Sri Lanka by six wickets in their second encounter of the ongoing Nidahas Trophy tri-series tournament, also involving Bangladesh.
Rohit Sharma was the first to depart in the Indian run chase, and was followed by the dismissals of Shikhar Dhawan and Suresh Raina.
Later, KL Rahul became the first Indian batsman to have been dismissed via hit-wicket when he departed for 18 runs, giving Jeevan Mendis the wicket.
However, in the end, it was Manish Pandey (42 not out) and Dinesh Karthik (39 not out) who took the visitors home, giving their second win in the tournament.
India will next face Bangladesh on Wednesday, whereas Sri Lanka face the same opponents later on Friday.

Sri Lanka innings
India restricted Sri Lanka to a total of 152-9 in their second encounter of the Nidahas Trophy tri-series here on Monday.
Sri Lanka started on a promising note, but lost opener Danushka Gunathilaka early. However, it was Kusal Mendis’ innings of 55 which took the hosts to a satisfactory total, despite the rest of the team failing to step up.
Captain Thisara Perera, too, could not make an impact as he was dismissed for 15.
While Washington Sundar took two wickets, Shardul Thakur scalped four wickets.
Thakur was on a hat-trick in the final over after having removed Dasun Shanaka and Dushmantha Chameera. However, his hat-trick opportunity was denied by Suranga Lakmal, who scored one run from the final ball.
Meanwhile, Yuzvendra Chahal and Vijay Shankar ended up with one wicket each.

Preview
Rohit Sharma-led India will look to inch closer to the Nidahas Trophy tri-series final when they take on Sri Lanka in the fourth match of the tournament here on Monday.
After losing their opening encounter to the hosts, the Men in Blue bounced back to beat Bangladesh by six wickets on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka suffered another blow after Bangladesh downed them by five wickets in a thriller, despite the hosts finishing with a total of 214.
Things went from bad to worse as Sri Lanka skipper Dinesh Chandimal was suspended for two T20Is due to a slow over-rate in the game against Bangladesh. As a result, Thisara Perera will be given the captaincy responsibilities for the next couple of games.
For India, captain Rohit Sharma’s form will be a concern. While his opening partner Shikhar Dhawan has aggregated 145 runs from the first two matches, Rohit, who was dismissed for a duck in the first match, could only contribute 17 runs in the second match.
Vijay Shankar was the Man of the Match agaoinst Bangladesh for his spell of 2 for 32.
