Bhuvneshwar Kumar takes a stunner to dismiss Roston Chase; watch

Mumbai: After Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer’s knock guided India towards a challenging score, the bowlers took the onus to bundle out West Indies for 210 after the match got reduced to 42-overs.

The bowlers were clinical and economical as the unit didn’t let the West Indies batsman get off to a flyer. Meanwhile, during the match Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar took a splendid catch to turn the tide in favour of India. During the 35th over, the Indian bowler delivered his fifth ball as Roston Chase struck a length ball towards Bhuvneshwar Kumar who dived to his left to grab the ball with one hand to dismiss Roston Chase for 18.

During the very same over, the right-handed pacer had dismissed Nicholas Nooran who was looking dangerous. Pooran scored 42, but Kumar dismissed him and Chase to turn the tide in favour of India. Moreover, Bhuvi also claimed the wickets of veteran Chris Gayle and Kemar Roach. Kumar ended his eight-over quota with impressive figures of 31/4.

Meanwhile, Captain Virat Kohli guided from the front with an exceptional century, Kohli hit 42nd ton of his career, to guide India towards an easy 59-run win over West Indies via Duckworth-Lewis method in the second ODI.

After the win in the second ODI, India took a 1-0 lead in the three-match ODI series. India rode on Kohli's 120 and Shreyas Iyer's 71 to post a challenging total of 279 after opting to bat.
