Virat's century came after a long wait of five months, something that is unusual for the Indian skipper. This century makes it 67 international centuries for Kohli. At present, he stands at number eight in the list of all-time highest run-scorers in ODI cricket and also has the third-highest number of international centuries.

In light of Kohli’s century, Twitter soon started chanting the name of Virat Kohli. #KingKohli was trending throughout the social media website. Fans, as well as cricketing legends, took to Twitter to praise the talisman.
