Mumbai: After Virat Kohli scored his 42nd ODI ton against West Indies, former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer took to twitter and hailed centurion Virat Kohli for his splendid knock of 120 against the Carribeans. Virat Kohli and Shreyas formed a 125-runs partnership to guide India towards a challenging score of 279.

While the bowlers did a tremendous job, especially Bhuvneshwar Kumar put up an exceptional performance with figures of 31/4 to restrict West Indies to 210. In a rain-affected match, the match got reduced to 42-overs and the target was revised to 270.

Nevertheless, after Kohli hit his 42nd ton, Wasim Jaffer tweeted, " Normal services resumes after a break of 11 innings!! i.e. another international 100 for Virat Kohli My prediction is he will get 75-80 ODI100's #KingKohli."

Kohli, who scored five-50s in the 2019 World Cup, failed to score a ton in the previous 11 innings. Kohli shattered multiple records as the social media went crazy and started trending #KingKohli.

The way Kohli is breaking one record after another seems like that he may hit the 80-mark bar. During the second ODI, Virat Kohli crossed Sourav Ganguly to become the second highest ODI run-scorer in the ODIs. Wasim Jaffer who was one of the successful Test openers for India had scored 1944 runs with two double tons, 5 hundreds, 11 fifties. Jaffer had a par average of 34.11.
