Of currency note and Virat-Anushka marriage

Mumbai: December 11 was an auspicious day for the duo of Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, as they finally tied the knot in Italy.

Apart from the duo, it was a day to remember for Parmar, a currency note collector from Morbi district in Gujarat and wasted no time in collecting a note bearing the number 111217 - signifying the marriage date- 11th December 2017.

Parmar was a happy man, and said that he would be arriving in Mumbai, during the reception to gift the note to the couple.

"I shall be arriving in Mumbai (during Kohli's reception date) and try to present him this note. They can retain this note as a remembrance of their wedding day", he said.

It was also said on Tuesday that the duo would be selling the marriage photos to an American fashion magazine, the money from which will be distributed to a charity.

Before the reception for cricketers and celebrities in Mumbai on December 26, there will be another function held for close friends and family in New Delhi on December 21.

Following the reception, Kohli will get back to cricketing duties as Team India prepare to travel to South Africa for three Tests, six ODIs and three T20Is, starting in January.
