Mumbai: The clash between India and New Zealand was abandoned due to rain without a single ball being bowled. But the fans at least something to cheer when India's Head coach Ravi Shastri came to the balcony and displayed MS Dhoni's No. 7 jersey to them.
According to reports, many fans were waiting under the balcony of the Indian dressing room and were shouting Dhoni's name. That's when Shastri displayed the jersey to rejoice the fans who were disappointed due to abandonment of the match.

Both India and New Zealand were awarded a point each after the washout. This was the fourth match that was abandoned in the ongoing World Cup 2019.
New Zealand are at the top of the table with seven points while India are sitting third with five points.
