Mumbai: A night before their match against England, a few of Afghanistan’s players were involved in a restaurant brawl with people who were filming the team, despite them asking the people not to do so.

Afghanistan later conceded the highest sum of runs in an innings at the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup (397) and lost the match to England.

Captain Gulbadin Naib was pretty calm during the post match conference. However, when the questions regarding the previous night’s incident came flying to him repeatedly by various journalists, the skipper started losing his cool.

Stating he didn’t know about the incident because he wasn’t involved in it, Naib deflected the questions at first, asking the journalists to get details from his security if they wanted.

When another reporter brought the topic up, Naib eventually threatened to leave the press conference if further questions were asked on the matter.
