Mumbai: The rain certainly likes the Indian Team, and it was evident after it followed the Men in Blues to Southampton before India’s match against Afghanistan. As the Virat Kohli- led team was about to get acquainted with the ground condition and the weather condition, the black clouds turned the weather cold and damp for most of Tuesday.

After Tuesday, heavy drizzles came in and it continued to drizzle continuously, however, the forecast for Saturday is clear and sunny along with some breeze. After witnessing a washout against New Zealand, and a mid-way rain in the match against Pakistan, India will hope that the weather remains sunny and clear as another washout might dent their chances of qualifying to the semis.

The previous match was reduced by 10-overs in the second innings after the rain interfered in the match many times, but luckily, India was able to play a full-fledged 40-overs match. And, they were able to produce a dominating display which ensured an 89-runs victory (DLS method) against their arch-rivals Pakistan.

However, Southampton is likely to witness a full-fledged 100 overs match, without any chance of rain interruptions. The conditions for tomorrow’s match are most likely to be sunny until 12 pm BST. Post 12 pm, the clouds are likely to turn black, but the chances of raining are nil. The temperature will be at a maximum of 20 Degree Celsius, and at a minimum of 13 Degree Celsius.
