South Indian Welfare Society (SIWS) College, Wadala defeated Lords Universal College, Goregaon by a comfortably 103 runs in a first round match of the Saqib Rizvi Memorial Inter-Collegiate Rotating Trophy cricket tournament at the New Hind ground, Matunga.

Put in to bat first, SIWS College were dismissed for 173 runs with all-rounder Aniket top-scoring with a half century knock of 56 runs. Defending a modest total, SIWS bowlers, spearheaded by medium pacer Faizan Khan, who picked up five wickets for 27 runs from seven overs, bundled out Lords College for a measly 70 runs. Shreeraj (3 for 9) and Aniket (2 for 2) shared the other wickets.

Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated by Arman Malik, Executive Managing Committee member, MCA and Adv. Rubina Akhtar Hasan Rizvi, Director, Rizvi Education Society.
