Star Sports releases 2nd WC campaign video, mocks SA, ENG for not winning ICC title

Mumbai: International sports broadcaster, Star Sports has come up with yet another video, mocking the England and South African cricket team. The video was purposely released before the World Cup as both England and South Africa face each other in the first fixture of the tournament on May 30, 2019.

Besides, the two teams are yet to win its first World Cup title. The official broadcaster of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, Star Sports is operating a campaign ‘Cricket Ka Crown’ for the marquee event.

The latest video shows India, Pakistan, Australia and Sri Lanka troll England and South Africa for failing to clinch the World title.

Star Sports tweeted, “Winning the #CricketKaCrown isn't everyone's cup of tea, is it? #ENG & #SA - two teams who are searching for their 1st title - meet in the ICC #CWC19 opener!.

On the match-front, both South Africa and England are gearing up themselves before they officially take on each other. The 2019 World Cup will be played in a round-robin format, and the format will consist of ten teams who will play against each other.

After the ten teams play their scheduled nine matches, and the top four teams which comes out with most wins will reach the semi-finals.

Five-time Champions, Australia will begin their title defence against Afghanistan on June 1, 2019.
