Virat Kohli meets Harry Kane at Lord's

The duo has managed to exchange several tweets on social media over the past few years.

Mumbai: Tottenham striker and English skipper Harry Kane met Indian skipper Virat Kohli on Friday at the Lord's cricket ground.

Kane took to Twitter to post a picture of him and Kohli. He wrote, 'After a few tweets in the last couple of years good to finally meet @imVkohli. A great guy and a brilliant sportsman.'

Kane has confessed in the past that he has been a huge fan of Kohli. The duo has also managed to exchange several tweets on social media over the past few years.

This was the first meeting of Kane and Kohli, where they were seen having a conversation at Lord's.

Kohli, along with the Indian team is in England for the ICC World Cup 2019. India are considered favourites to win the prestigious trophy, along with England and Australia.

On the other hand, Kane is recovering from an injury but is expected to start against Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League Final. Tottenham were successful in defeating Ajax over two legs of the semi-final. Kane has been instrumental in Tottenham's Champions League journey and has managed to score five goals in the tournament.

Kohli also responded to Kane's tweet by saying, 'It was a pleasure meeting you @HKane and all the best for the finals.'

India will open their World Cup campaign against South Africa on June 5 at Rose Bowl Cricket Ground, Hampshire.
