Injured Pandya, Rahul released from Test squad; to consult specialists

New Delhi: The medical team of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Sunday confirmed that all-rounder Hardik Pandya sustained a blow on his right shoulder during a training session in Mohali where the third Test is currently being played.

He has been released from the Test team and will consult a specialist to decide the future course of action.

On the other hand, batsman KL Rahul is also released from the squad to recover from his left forearm injury. He is expected to regain his fitness for the fourth Test match of the ongoing five-match series against England to be held in Mumbai from December 8.
