Mohali: Ravindra Jadeja’s deliveries have taken quite a few batsmen by surprise over the years. However, he bowled one particular ball during India’s third Test in Mohali, that would catch everyone’s eye.

As England batsman Jonny Bairstow took his guard to face the third delivery of the 77th over, the ball seemed to slip away from Jadeja’s fingers, as it rolled wide of the pitch and into a baffled Patel’s gloves.

While we all wondered how a Test bowler could bowl such a ball, commentators and ex-cricketers Sanjay Manjrekar and Ian Botham believe that it was because Jadeja was trying to bowl a different variation, that the ball slipped out of his finger. They even suggested that Jadeja may have even been trying a mystery ball.
