Union Bank of India had to work hard for their 3-2 win against Mumbai Strikers in a keenly contested semi-final match of the 111th RCF-Nadkarni Cup knock-out football tournament, organised by RCF Sports Club under the aegis of MDFA, and played at the RCF Colony ground on Thursday.

Striker Ranjeet Pande played a key role striking two goals which helped Union Bank pull off the win. Pande struck the first goal in the eighth minute before the Mumbai Strikers scored two quick goals through Abhijeet Shetty in the 25th minute and Ravish D’Souza in the 31st minute to enjoy a slight advantage. But Union Bank fought back and managed to find the equaliser through Valentine Pereira in the 44th minute.
