Mumbai: Mumbai City FC’s first choice goalkeeper Amrinder Singh is excited at facing his former club Bengaluru FC in their inaugural ISL Season Four clash at their home on Sunday.

“I have good some good memories of playing there. It is a good thing that I am starting the season from that ground. In our lives, we can’t look back and have to move from club to club, so it will be a normal game and I am excited that I am starting the ISL 4 against them,” he said on Thursday.

Alexandre Guimaraes’ wards will reach Bengaluru on Saturday and Amrinder knows a bit about the new team in ISL whom he represented in the I-League and AFC Cup in the last few seasons. The Punjab lad will have to perform well as he has experienced goalkeeper Arindam Bhhatacharja for competition with the city based club investing heavily on goalkeepers. “We have the two best goalkeepers in our side, local guys Amrinder and Arindam and one new guy like Kunal (Sawant), who is getting experience and is learning. Someday may be we can see two of the best goal-keepers in India playing,” Guimaraes said.

Mumbai are without any major stars this season after Diego Forlan and Sunil Chhetri left last season but Guimaraes isn’t worried and expects a good show in the long season. “They contributed a lot to our great season last year. But now it is a new chapter and we have to deal with the players that we have.”
