Nikhil Gharg nets 2 in Shelar FC victory

Mumbai: Shelar FC powered by the twin strikes from Nikhil Gharg went on to register a thumping 3-0 win against Challengers FC in a round-6 match of the 2nd Borivali Premier Football League (BPFL) at the St. Francis D’Assisi Ground, Borivali (W).

Showing good understanding, Shelar FC dictated terms from the start but had to wait till the 29th minute to open the scoring when Vishal Nair found the back of the net.

But in the second period, Gharg capitalised on two chances that came his way to score his first and the team’s second goal in the 47th minute. He was again on target in the final minute to seal Shelar FC’s fluent victory. Gharg was rightly declared winner of the ‘Big Boss Player of the Match’ award.

In another league encounter, Collin Abranches netted the crucial winner as Maryland United Prevailed over Tiger SF by a narrow 1-0 margin.
