Honda India fields rookie Mikail for Thai Talent Cup
Senthil graduated to ARRC on the back of a stellar season in the Thai Talent Cup.
Chennai: Rajiv Sethu will have a new teammate when Idemitsu Honda Racing India begin their 2019 Asia Road Racing Championship season at the Sepang International Circuit, Malaysia, on March 8. Rajiv, who finished 27th overall with seven points collected over six rounds last season, and rookie Senthil will pilot the Honda machines in the Asia Production 250cc class.
“This is my third year in ARRC and I’m very thankful to Honda 2Wheelers India for giving me this great platform. With every season I am going a step closer to my dreams. For 2019 preparation has been the toughest with Honda’s best in class training facilities. This year I am challenging myself to climb even further and strive to close the season in top 15,” said Rajiv.
Senthil graduated to ARRC on the back of a stellar season in the Thai Talent Cup. “I feel very blessed to get international opportunities with Honda in just two years since start of my professional racing (career). ARRC will be first exposure to Asia’s toughest race. I am extremely excited and happy to be a part of the Honda Racing team and representing India.”
Honda India also announced that 14-year-old Mohammed Mikail, a protege of Honda, will make his international debut at the Thai Talent Cup along with Kritik Habib.
