BWF Rankings: Saina Nehwal back as India's No. 1

PV Sindhu is at No. 10 spot from her career best No. 7 slot.

Mumbai: Saina is the highest ranked Indian female singles shuttler in the rankings. Former world No. 1 Saina Nehwal has jumped one spot to clinch the No. 9 slot in the latest BWF rankings. The Olympian’s recent consistent results in Hong Kong Open and Macau Open have helped her to make the jump.

Earlier, the 2012 Olympics bronze medallist had slipped to the 11th spot after exiting in the first round of the China Open. She later jumped one spot to the No.10 position, after reaching the quarter-finals in Hong Kong.

Meanwhile, PV Sindhu has dropped to No. 10 spot from her career best No. 7 slot.

In men’s singles, Ajay Jayaram jumped four places to reach the 19th spot, while H S Prannoy dropped three places to be at the 29th spot.

Kidambi Srikanth sits at the 13th position, B Sai Praneeth ascended to the 36th spot while Parupalli Kashyap is at the 95th spot.
