BWF World Championships: HS Prannoy pulls a shocker by beating Lin Dan

Earlier this year, Lin Dan had gotten the better of Prannoy in the Australian Open when he defeated in straight sets 21-18, 21-19.

Mumbai: Indian shuttler HS Prannoy pulled off a massive upset by beating badminton legend Lin Dan in the second round of the BWF World Championships being held in Switzerland.

The first set belonged to Prannoy as he won it 21-11. But, Lin Dan fought back in the second set to win it 13-21. Prannoy owned the third set as he demolished Lin Dan 21-7 to move onto the third round.

Earlier this year, Lin Dan had gotten the better of Prannoy in the Australian Open when he defeated in straight sets 21-18, 21-19.

Prannoy moves into the third round having bested China's Lin Dan and Finland's Eetu Heino.
