New Delhi: Rio Olympics bronze medal winner Sakshi Malik and Bajrang Puniya will spearhead the campaign for Delhi Sultans in the Pro Wrestling League beginning January 2.

A revamped Delhi franchise unveiled their new logo and name for the second season in the presence of team captain Sakshi, coach Kuldeep Singh, besides wrestlers Bajrang, Parveen Rana and Satyavart Kadian.

The squad also boasts of Rio silver medallist Mariya Stadnik and Alina Makhiyna, a gold medallist at the 2013 Budapest World Championship.

Said Bajrang, “Unlike other leagues, the PWL is a novel concept where men and women compete together. We are geared up for the second season and are expecting a good show.

“It will be a good start to 2017 before we get going for the international tournaments.”
