Pro Wrestling League-2: Six teams to battle for top honours
The opening night will be headlined by defending champions Mumbai Maharathi taking on Haryana Hammers.
The second season of the Pro Wrestling League will kick start on January 2 with the capital hosting the entire season at the K.D. Jadhav Indoor stadium till January 19.

The event will feature six teams, who will vie for a prize purse of Rs 15 Crores and will see Delhi Sultans, Jaipur Ninjas, Mumbai Maharathi, UP Dangal, NCR Punjab Royals and Haryana Hammers battle it out for the coveted title.
Commenting ahead of the season beginning, WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh said, “We are very excited to be back with Season 2 of the PWL which is much bigger and better than the previous season. With the kind of participation that we have for this year’s edition across the globe, it has indeed given a rise to the popularity of the league even before it has started.”
The league will witness 15 matches in the league phase followed by the semi-finals on January 17 and 18. The tournament will witness a total of 54 wrestlers participating. The matches will be played in nine different categories. The male wrestlers will compete in the 57kg, 65kg, 70kg, 74kg and 97 kg categories, while the women will battle it out in the 48kg, 53kg, 58kg, 69kg and 75kg weight divisions. The matches will be held from 7pm to 9 pm every day.
