The world of technology always keeps breaking records within a very short span of time. In 2015, SanDisk unveiled the world’s first 200GB microSD card, which was believed to remain an interesting achievement for a considerable amount of time. However, the eggheads at Western Digital kept on improving their achievement, which has resulted in the announcement of the world’s first 400GB microSD card.

That’s a pretty tough task to achieve, considering the limited dimensions of a microSD card. Western Digital claims that the 400GB SanDisk Ultra microSDXC UHS-I for Android smartphones and tablets can achieve data transfer speeds of up to 100MB/s. For the lay man, that means that one can transfer 1,200 photos per minute. Along with the high speed, the A1 app performance class specification means that apps stored on the microSD card can load apps faster than before. The SanDisk 400GB card is available for purchase at a price of $249 (Rs 15,918).
