Android Wear 2.0 to launch next month

Google's latest smartwatch operating system, Android Wear 2.0 is launching next month.

Google’s latest smartwatch operating system – Android Wear 2.0 is reportedly going to launch in February, 2017. According to a report published by Android Police, Google has notified developers that Wear 2.0 is coming in a few weeks, so they better get their apps ready.

The company wants to ensure that the developers update their apps in order to allow users to run them in standalone mode. The standalone feature is a primary upgrade that comes in the Android Wear 2.0.

Google has been planning to release the latest smartwatch OS since months now. Back in September, Google delayed the release of Android Wear 2.0 till 2017 citing issues that arose during developer’s preview. Later, Google confirmed to The Verge that the new watches will not have Google or Pixel branding but will be considered flagship devices.
