Smartron's first wearable tband' launched

Smartron India has launched its first wearable device – the tband. It comes equipped with features such as ECG (Electrocardiography) and BP (Blood Pressure) monitoring to measure a unique fatigue and stress factor. The tband also comes combined with the ‘thealth’ app to give the user an overall Health Index score, which is a combination of activity tracking, calorie count, sleeping patterns, stress and fatigue levels as well as Blood Pressure and Heart Health.
Apart from ECG and BP monitoring features, tband has the ability to continuously measure heart rate as well as resting heart rate. Along with basic fitness parameters such as calorie burn, steps and running distance, with sleep tracking, the tband highlights sleep patterns and efficiency. It also features customisable alerts for waking up and medicine reminders, DnD option, inactive and SOS alerts, SMS and calls' notifications
The band features a silicone strap with stainless steel tang buckle and the strap is customisable with 18mm changeable watch straps. On the specifications front, the tband features a 0.96-inch OLED display with a single touchpad. It is equipped with 3-Axis Accelerometer, ECG, Optical heart rate monitor (PPG) sensors, which run on an MTK2523/MTK2511 processor. The phone supports Bluetooth and charges via a USB charging dock. The band is powered by a 100mAh Li-ion battery, which promises to have a battery backup of up to 2-4 days depending on notifications and usage.
The tband is also IP 67 rated dust and water resistant and lastly, it is compatible with all Android and iOS devices. The tband will be available on sale from 13 May with a price tag of Rs 4,999.
