Lenovo Ego: In-your-face smart watch

Lenovo's Ego is a health wearable for those who want to flaunt it

Update: 2019-05-13 08:39 GMT
Function-wise it offers all that one expects from a smart wearable: step , kilometre, sleep and calorie tracking with a heart rate monitor.

Fitness bands often double as wrist watches -- but that function is usually secondary. The device is usually slim and understated. For its foray into the smartwatch sector in India, Lenovo has decided to go bold and beautiful: The Ego is fully 2 inches across, with a chunky rubber casing and resembles those chronometers favoured by outdoors types compass points and all ..this is deceptive because the weight is just 42 grams

Function-wise it offers all that one expects from a smart wearable: step, kilometre, sleep and calorie tracking with a heart rate monitor. The battery is good for some weeks and you get the usual phone and text alerts and syncs. It works with all Android and iOS phones. I personally liked the large display which can be read even in bright sunlight: most sleek health bands leave me groping for my specs. Likewise clicking a photo from your phone takes just a tap on the watch screen. At Rs 1999, this is a good value for those who like to flaunt their wrist wear.
