Samsung India has launched its latest flagship tablet — the Galaxy Tab S4, a new 2-in-1 tablet that comes equipped with Samsung Dex and S Pen. With the new S Pen and Samsung Dex, the company says that the Galaxy Tab S4 delivers an experience that helps you work smarter and faster. "Combined with a polished modern design, an immersive display, four speakers and enhanced entertainment features, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 makes for easier productivity and more immersive entertainment," the company further said.

Productivity with Samsung DeX

Samsung's DeX optimises a users experience for work situations. In Standalone mode, one can enjoy a PC-like interface even without a monitor or the Book Cover Keyboard. In dual mode, multitasking is said to be much smoother, and one can use it to optimise their work environment by connecting the Galaxy Tab S4 to a bigger monitor with an HDMI adapter. Work more effectively and get more done.

In Samsung DeX dual mode, you can display various kinds of apps in full-screen view, even if the apps don’t support freeform. One can also move files between apps and shift content. With Samsung DeX, you can open multiple desktop-style windows for your Android apps, including the Microsoft Office suite, directly on Galaxy Tab S4, and re-size them when needed. Drag and drop content between apps and use keyboard shortcuts and commands for efficiency.

The Galaxy Tab S4 is backed by a 7300mAh battery, which is said to deliver up to 16 hours of video playback. Additionally, with Samsung Knox, Samsung’s defence-grade mobile security platform, customers and companies can ensure critical information is protected at multiple levels of the device, the company said.

Enhanced S Pen experience

Samsung’s S Pen comes in the box with the Galaxy Tab S4 to satisfy productive needs. Samsung asserts that the redesigned S Pen offers an authentic handwriting experience — it’s perfect for drawing, taking notes, and communicating in the modern world. It offers users a way to express their creativity and communicate. They can take notes through the Screen-Off Memo feature, as well as navigate, translate and organise notes through Samsung notes, and even send personalised texts through Samsung Live Message – all with the S Pen.

Optimised Entertainment

The Galaxy Tab S4 sports narrower bezels to fit a large 10.5-inch display with Super AMOLED technology, as well as a 16:10 screen ratio with 2560x1600, 287 pixels per inch (PPI) resolution for vivid picture detail and true-to-life visuals. When it comes to audio, Galaxy Tab S4 also comes with four speakers tuned by AKG and Dolby Atmos sound technology.

Enhanced Connectivity

The Galaxy Tab S4 also features new and improved capabilities designed to manage your connected devices and lifestyle. Samsung Flow allows users to manage all of their devices by connecting and transferring files, tasks and notifications. The SmartThings app2 on the Galaxy Tab S4 makes it monitor and control your smart home devices right from the tablet. Plus, the Galaxy Tab S4’s Daily Board3 allows you to view your photos and everyday information such as the weather, calendar and time in one, easy-to-access place.

lastly, the Galaxy Tab S4 will be available at a price of Rs 57,900 from October 18 onwards in Black and Gray colour options via Samsung's Online Shop and other offline retail stores. It will also be available exclusively via Amazon from October 20 onwards.
