Targus Universal Type-C docking station launched

The docking station claims to expand your laptop into a workstation by plugging in peripherals into the two USB-A ports.

Targus has launched a Universal Type-C docking station featuring Power Pass-Through and USB-C travel dock. The docking station promises to be easily connected to a laptop or monitor, wireless keyboard or mouse and can also transfer power from your power adapter to the host computer.

The docking station appears to be universally compatible with the popular Operating Systems like Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and Chrome OS.

The docking station claims to expand your laptop into a workstation by plugging in peripherals into the two USB-A ports, or easily connect to conference room displays when to set up a presentation. The station also comes with a pro cable management where a user can place the cable into its designated slot.

The docking station is outfitted with a USB-C DisplayPort and Alt-Mode host connection (compatible with Thunderbolt 3). It has two USB-A ports which work with peripherals, 1GB Ethernet, 3.5mm mini stereo jack and the power output is up to 60W.

The dedicated VGA, Mini DisplayPort, and HDMI Ports are also present on the station to connect to projectors and HDTVs.

The Gigabit Ethernet Port claims to get wire-speed Internet and lastly, the station is outfitted with two USB 3.0 ports to plug in external hard drives, mice, card readers, or other data storage devices.
