Honor 10 Lite: Lite shades of Blue!
Honor is betting on blue phones and the 10 Lite takes it to the next level.
All through last year, Honor, the sub-brand of Huawei, cemented its position as a value player, with emphasis on AI-driven camera performance and UI-based innovations tailored to the Indian market. One other interesting thing: Honor created at least half a dozen beautiful blue phones. The company takes the trend forward to this year as well. Honor’s first offering for 2019 — the 10 Lite — takes the focus on AI a step further, while beefing up the processor for increased performance and better battery management.
The Honor 10 Lite, powered by its in-house Kirin 710 processor, comes with a 24MP AI selfie camera, which maps each image against 8 scenes such as Sky, Beach, Flower, Plant, Stage, Room, Snow etc) and optimizes the image with AI algorithms. Of course, images that do not fall under any of these presets are also passed through the AI engine to ensure brighter, clearer images. With face recognition and something called 'light fusion technology' Honor is able to identify your face, authenticate you and also light up your selfies in low-light conditions. The back camera comes in a 13MP + 2MP configuration with auto image stabilization for night shots, and 22 pre-set scene recognition features.
The device also leverages AI for enhanced noise reduction during calls, AI shopping, where you can point the camera at a product and the AI engine pulls up online stores you can buy it from, an AI calorie counter which tells you how much junk you are consuming if you were to eat the food your camera is pointing it, and a secure face recognition feature. Most of these innovations flow from the Huawei R&D centre in Bangalore where software tools are personalized to India. For instance, the 10 Lite comes with a PayTM pay button, dual VoLTE, and a Wi-Fi bridge that can be used to share your wireless net with four more devices.
Available in two variants of blue and a black, the gradient design (in the blues) consists of 7 layers such as a UV curtain coating, electroplating, a 3D composite layer, high pressure molding, an ink base layer among others. It's evident, Honor takes its blue obsession seriously. The 10 Lite also has camera performance to supplement it, making it an ideal candidate for your first smartphone procurement of the year. Priced at Rs 13,999 (4GB + 64GB), and Rs 17,999 (6GB + 64GB), the devices are available exclusively on Flipkart.
