OnePlus recently launched its two televisions, the Q1 and the Q1 Pro. The two TVs bring the popular smartphone brand into the TV space in the country. While the TV is available for purchase on Amazon at a starting price of Rs 69,900, the devices will be manufactured in China and imported from there. OnePlus CEO Pete Lau recently stated this and also added that the TVs will be manufactured in India from late 2019 or early 2020.
Both TVs have 55-inch 4K QLED panels with support for Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and a 120 per cent NTSC colour gamut. The TVs have 95.7 per cent screen-to-body ratios. They also feature Dolby Atmos sound and run on Android TV 9.0 based on the brand’s OxygenOS screen. The regular OnePlus TV has quad speaker, the OnePlus Q1 Pro comes with a sliding soundbar and eight speakers.
Co-Founder of OnePlus Carl Pei also confirmed that OnePlus is not planning on making an affordable TV anytime soon and will continue to focus on the premium market. The OnePlus Q1 is priced at Rs 69,900 and the Q1 Pro is priced at Rs 99,900.
