Google Assistant will be on competitor apple's iphone, and may soon sit on your everyday home electronic devices too.

It’s been a while since Google released its AI-powered personal assistant — Google Assistant, to its products and services. The Assistant is supposed to be a Siri counterpart in the Android universe, doing Google Searches and various other functions related to controlling devices. Now, Google is finally making the Assistant available for use in third-party smart speakers and appliances.

The search giant announced at this year’s IFA event that it would make available its Google Assistant to all third-party speakers as well as appliances, apart from its Google Home speaker. At the time of the announcement, Google announced the availability of Assistant on the following three speakers — IP67 water resistant Mobvoi TicHome Mini for $100, Anker’s yet-to-be-launched ZoloMojo and the Panasonic GA10.

Apart from smart speakers, the Assistant will also be available on various smart appliances, with LG being the launch customer. Therefore, in the foreseeable future, you will be able to speak phrases such as “Ok Google, wash my clothes”, “Ok Google, is my cake baked?”, “Ok Google, clean my room”, and more.
