WhatsApp faces a global outage due to server issues

Just days after Facebook and Instagram suffered an outage, popular messaging platform WhatsApp faced a global outage, leaving its users in the larch.

According to a report by Downdetector, the messaging service faced connection issues. The report claims that 22 per cent of the users faced issues while using the serive on August 29. There were 30 per cent users who had trouble while sending or receiving messages on the same day. A user from India received a message saying ‘WhatsApp servers are busy now’ after reinstalling the app.
Users from northern Europe, Mexico and Brazil including few Indian users reported their issues on the website. A WhatsApp spokesperson has told Express.co.uk that the company has managed to identify and resolve the issue.
