Described as a kind of game, Sway helps in interactive meditation, with an aim to getting users racking up at least a few minutes of calm each day.

Let’s see who all would raise their hands if asked whether, in the middle of the road, under the constant blaring of horns, and a chocked traffic, they can meditate. What may sound crazy at first, Sway, the slick meditation app tries to drive home that wherever you are, there’s room to stay focused and relax. Ustwo, the makers of the popular app Monument Valley, are the creators of Sway. Described as a kind of game, Sway helps in interactive meditation, “with an aim to getting users racking up at least a few minutes of calm each day”. “While it’s not a game, per se, it works like one,” says Engadget.

The app helps users increase the amount of time spent for meditation beginning with a smaller time bracket -- say starting with five minutes and increasing it to 20.

The phone’s sensors track the movement. The user has to wave the phone while using it. “Feedback displayed on the screen will remind you of the task at hand, or that you should slow down. This meditative movement can be triggered by swinging your body, waving your arm (slowly!) or gently walking around,” Engadget explains.
