WhatsApp's new features aimed to improve user experience
The chatting platform has made it easier for users to find emojis and apply text fonts.
WhatsApp is undoubtedly among the most popular chatting apps across the world. The firm realises the growing need of its users and thus, consistently works on introducing better features to improve the over-all experience. A new report by Express UK suggests that the Facebook-owned WhatsApp is planning on adding new features.
The first feature will basically allow users to change the font using the app’s text selection toolbar. Last year, WhatsApp introduced new bold, italic and strikethrough fonts along with fixedsys monospace font as well. However, it took a lot of effort for users to manually change the font themselves. That is about to change. The app is now apparently using Android M’s customisable floating text toolbar that allows users to change the font style by simply selecting the text and choosing one from the toolbar. Another important feature that is set to arrive in the app is the new emoji search option. Users will now discover emojis automatically on the basis of a word or a few characters.
Both of these features are live in the latest WhatsApp beta version.
