Gear S3 users report battery issues after the Tizen 3.0 update
The company is yet to respond to these complaints, but it will take some time to confirm whether the OS does shorten the Gear S3 battery.
Samsung rolled out the Tizen 3.0 update for its Gear S3 two weeks ago, but many smartwatch users are now reporting several issues with the new update. The most report issue is related to the battery life of the wearable.
It’s still unclear, if this is indeed a widespread issue or just a small percentage of Gear S3 users facing the battery drainage issue. The company is yet to respond to these complaints, but it will take some time to confirm whether the new OS does shorten the Gear S3 battery backup.
Apart from the battery drainage, users also reported another bug. Some users claim that the new Tizen 3.0 is preventing them from using customised watch faces. But fortunately, there’s a workaround. The issue can be fixed after factory resetting the device. However, this doesn’t solve the battery issues with the Gear S3. If the company addresses the issue soon, we might get another software update soon.
