Games, games and more games. This has always been the PlayStation Experience’s central dogma, and this year Sony somehow managed to pull out all the stops and left us gamers completely flabbergasted.

The list of games that were showcased ranged from interesting to absolutely mind-boggling. It seems that Sony is hell bent on continuing with the momentum that it generated over the course of the current generation of consoles and wants to prolong it. As an avid gamer, this is possibly the best possible time to invest in a PS Pro. Why, you may ask. Well, here are just a few standout games that were announced at the PSX and I feel they make a strong case to adopt the console. First off we have Vane. As the curtain was lifted off the gorgeous looking trailer for this game, my mind strayed to Journey, one of the best video game experiences of my life. The prospect of adventuring through an unknown world to unravel its secrets and see the world change as a consequence of my actions excites me.

Then comes Horizon: Zero Dawn. This game has already seen a gameplay trailer. However, by this time, the hype that this futuristic RPG is gathering around itself is unreal. The game looks cool and I am sure there isn’t a single gamer out there who won’t instantly fall in love with robot dinosaurs!

Next up is a game that has been stuck in development hell for well over a decade and will finally launch on Tuesday. I am talking about The Last Guardian and the launch trailer for it has managed to capture the imagination of ICO and Shadow of the Colossus fans alike.

Then we were treated to Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, where you play Chloe Frazer. It is set in a dystopian India and takes place after the events of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. It’ll be interesting to play an Uncharted game as someone other than Nathan. The Lost Legacy is being offered both as part of the Season Pass for Uncharted 4 as well as a stand-alone experience.

Last but definitely not the least, we have The Last of Us Part II. Now, the first part is by far my favourite game of all time, and this is by far the best trailer for a game that I have ever seen! It perfectly set up the revenge theme and I for one, think that this was the one trailer among all others that stole the show for me. I can’t wait to try this game out when it finally launches!
