WhatsApp has been working on the Quick Switch feature since last few months. According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp has finally released a new update via Google Play Beta version 2.18.4 that introduces a new video call switch button.

The report suggests that a new button pops up on the screen while in a voice call. If a user presses the video button, WhatsApp will automatically send a request to the recipient, asking if he wants to “convert” the current voice call in a video call. Prior to this, users had to cut the call to switch from a voice call to a video call. This new feature is currently available on Android devices with Android 6.0 and above.

Besides, popular social media platform, Facebook has also added a new Instagram-Whatsapp feature, where users can instantly post their Instagram stories as Whatsapp Status.
