Here's how Helo is increasing security on its platform

Social Media platform Helo has announced that it is strengthening its existing safety features by making its guidelines for its Helo App community available in 14 Indian regional languages. Thus now the community guidelines will be available in Hindi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Gujarati, Kannada, Odia, Bengali, Assamese, Bhojpuri, Haryanvi, and Rajasthani as well .

“Maintaining a safe and positive in-app environment is paramount to us, which is why we continuously enhance and update our policies, safety tools, and online resources,” says Shyamanga Barooah, Head of the platform’ Content Operations. To curb the increasing spread of Fake News, the app has also partnered with the Jagran group which shall provide it with fact-checking facilities.

Further, the platform announced that it has also advanced its in-app safety measures with 13 new safety features which include In-app Reporting, Privacy Settings, Restricted Mode, Parental Control and Comment Filter. ‘With the ‘In-app Reporting’ feature, users have greater control over their feed and are able to report content or profiles that violate the Community Guidelines,’ it said in a statement.
