The new features are all very exciting but despite that most people are looking forward to the optimisation of the game.

By now you would have definitely heard or read about Playerunknowns Battlegrounds or PUBG. The game has skyrocketed from early access obscurity to become the most popular game on the planet in the last six months and one of the many reasons for that is constant updates and new content.

Unlike its predecessors like H1Z1, PUBG has regularly added new content and tweaks to keep the game fresh and that has really helped the playerbase grow at a phenomenal pace. Over the last few months we’ve seen teasers for a new desert map, Mir amar which is finally playable on tests servers right now and will launch with the full release of PUBG, as it comes out of early access on December 20.

The full launch of PUBG isn’t just for namesake, it brings a whole host of changes that pretty much changes a lot of the base UI of the game making it feel like a much more polished game, that deserves to be the most popular game on the planet. While the new UI is great, there’s a lot coming in terms of gameplay as well with the highly anticipated vaulting mechanic. Player will now be able to jump over ledges, walls and through windows without having to fail several attempts at a crouch jump. It makes movement much more fluid and changes how much people would approach combat situations. The new map, Miramar has been built keeping the feature in mind with lots of boxes and crates giving access to new floors in buildings that would have otherwise been inaccessible. The new map also comes with new weapons like the Winchester rifle or sawed-off shotgun. But most importantly, due to the desert landscape it changes how most people would approach combat. Lots of hills and rocks will encourage teams ambushing each ot her, not just camping in corners. New islands just off the coast will encourage more players to explore beyond just the main hubs, but this might make the initial phase of the game a little dull; in my experience the real encounters only start towards the final few zones of the game.

The new features are all very exciting but despite that most people are looking forward to the optimisation of the game. Right now PUBG can bring even the most powerful rigs to its knees, but with the 1.0 update and launch almost all systems and GPU’s will receive a substantial boost allowing people to enjoy PUBG as more than some jagged lines and bland textures. I for one, cannot wait for December 20!
