Replying on WhatsApp to get one-swipe easy on Android, like iPhones
Although the feature has not been integrated yet for the users, WhatsApp is working on its development and it will be available soon.
WhatsApp has been toiling itself to counter the fake message predicament on its platform which has led to several misfortunes in India. While it’s occupied with making the necessary transitions to curb this, it didn’t manage to roll out many other features for its users. It was during early August that we received a beta update for Android which was the induction of picture-in-picture mode.
Now though, WhatsApp seems to be working on more convenience-oriented features for its Android users and, one which is in the offing is the ‘Swipe to Reply’ feature. As reported by WABetaInfo, the Facebook-owned company has released the 2.18.282 beta version of the messenger. Although the anticipated feature has not been included yet for the users, WhatsApp is working on its development and it will be available soon.
While all the iPhone users must be aware about the swipe to reply feature, for the uninitiated, it allows you to just swipe a message in order to mark it in your text box for replying to it. Currently, Android users need to long press on the message and select the option from top in order to reply for the text. The introduction of this feature will ultimately improve the experience of the messenger.
Facing a serious controversy, WhatsApp has recently rolled out the ‘Forwarded’ label feature for the messages which have not been originally created by the sender. While this didn’t completely fix the issues of violence due to circulation of provocative messages, it still showed the company’s efforts towards making its platform as secure as possible.
