Gionee joins the 18:9 display war, M7 Power smartphone launched
The phone comes with 3D imaging capabilities and features dual Whatsapp mode.
2017 is been the year of bezel-less displays and taller aspect ratio of 18:9. LG started the trend with their G6 and since then it’s adopted by most major manufacturers including Apple, Samsung, and others. Now Gionee on Wednesday has announced M7 Power for the Indian market, joining the fray.
The phone features a 6-inch Gorilla Glass 3 protected display with a resolution of 1440x720 pixels, sizable 5000 mAh battery and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
The M7 Power comes with 13MP f/2.0 camera on the back and an 8MP f/2.2 front shooter, Gionee claims that the camera can create 3D pictures; all you need to do is pan around the object. The phone runs Amigo UI 5.0 built on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
Connectivity package includes support for 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS/ A-GPS. It comes with a microUSB port for charging and data transfer and has a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The device is available for Rs 16,999 and comes in three color options i.e. Blue, Gold, and Black. It will be available with all the retailers from 25th November.
