Apple discloses 20 new emoji in time for World Emoji Day
Colourful and very detailed, Apple has revealed 20 new emoji out of the 59 which are supposed to launch this fall.
Celebrating World Emoji Day, Apple decided to reveal a selection from the new emoji range scheduled to arrive this fall. The iPhone maker in a report described the new emoticons will bring more diversity on the keyboard and are paired with fun and exciting additions to popular categories of food, animals, activities and smiley faces.
Colourful and very detailed, Apple has revealed 20 new emoji out of the 59 which are supposed to launch this fall. Apple users can start using them when iOS 13 comes out. And for iOS 12 users, the new emoji pack will be part of a new update when it rolls out. Apple confirmed that the new emoji will come in a software update and will be available on Macs, Apple Watches and iPads as well.
For example, the Holding Hands emoji represented couples and relationships, now users can personalise with more than 75 possible combinations of skin tone and gender. For users in India, the most exciting new update would be a saree emoji. Apple says the new emoji are created based on the approved characters in Unicode 12.0.
