Bengaluru man designs 'AC' helmet for bike riders
The helmet can create a temperature drop of about 12 degrees compared to the temperature outside.
Sandeep Dahiya, the owner of a Harley Davidson for almost 10 years, created a helmet that has built-in Air conditioning. Sandeep, a former engineer, worked on the design of his helmet for four and a half years before he finally created it.
The helmet can create a temperature drop of about 12 degrees compared to the temperature outside. The whole setup consists of two parts, the Helmet itself and an external device that can be worn on the back and that pulls 12 volts of current from the bike’s battery.
The air conditioning of the device works on Solid-State Cooling, meaning it doesn’t require a compressor and does not require water. The helmet itself has a heating mode as well.
