Facebook is testing a more Instagram-like viewing experience to make finding visual content from the individual’s friends and followed people easier on its platform. A report, confirmed by a Facebook spokesperson, wrote about the development on the news portal TechCrunch.

Thus, there could now soon be a ‘Popular Photos’ features which would give the user only picture and video content uploaded by friends after opening from the news feed and scrolling on a picture there. Currently, Facebook redirects one to back to the news feed upon doing so, however, should the experiment be made a feature which we are not aware of a timeline to, it should change.

To enhance the viewing experience, this would consist of no other types of posts except for the photos and videos and further, will have a 65-word limit on its captions, like Instagram. It would also appear in dark mode, TechCrunch reported.

Meanwhile, there are no dates as to when the feature would roll out or, considering that it is still being tested, even if it will.
