Amazon rolls out Kindle Lite app

Amazon announced the expansion of its India-first product, Kindle Lite, to Kenya. The free app is aimed at smartphones on slower networks and lower storage.

Kindle Lite weighs 2MB and is a free app for Android devices. It is a thinned-down version of the main app and is compatible with even 2G/3G networks.

The app has an integrated dictionary and access to more than 5 million eBooks, including thousands of free eBooks. The Kindle Lite app is available for download now in Kenya on the Google Play Store.
