Amazing Tesla Autopilot mode swerves last minute to save ducks; watch video
The autopilot mode slammed on the brakes and switched lanes just in time so the ducks could be saved.
A few ducks crossing a road in Gisborne, New Zealand were narrowly saved when a Tesla car dashing at them swerved to the side last minute to avoid a collision. Watch the video here:
According to the description of the video, the Tesla Model 3 driver did not notice the crossing ducks because of some shadow on the road, which is quite believable because even in the video footage, it isn’t until the last second when the ducks are clearly visible.
This is where the autopilot mode came in, slammed on the brakes and switched lanes just in time so the ducks could be saved. "If it wasn't for the Autopilot function, I think the ducks would not have survived," the driver wrote.
While automatic car driving is still not perfect, it is great to know that significant progress is being made and lives are being saved along the way.
