Bixby now works with many Android apps

All you have to do is say, "Hi Bixby."

Bixby can be enabled from the home screen by saying Hi Bixby or holding down the dedicated Bixby button.

Samsung launched its digital voice assistant Bixby in the English version very recently which is now available for download for Galaxy S8/S8+ owner in the US., and now it seems that it can interact with a bunch of popular apps.

Bixby can now interact with various apps on the Android operating system. These apps include Google Maps, Google Play Music, Google Play Store, Gmail, YouTube, Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, Tumblr, Pandora, Yelp, and Uber. Samsung says that Bixby’s voice capabilities can be used with other third-party apps which is available in Bixby Labs, which has to be opted for, separately.

"At launch, users will be able to access Bixby’s voice capabilities in a set of third-party apps on an opt-in basis via Bixby Labs. Within Bixby Labs, users can experiment with upcoming applications to take advantage of the benefits Bixby offers," said Samsung in the press announcement.
