CEO of Microsoft Bill Gates with a total worth of $86.8 million tops the Forbes Richest men chart for the fourth time in a row.

According to the Forbes report, he owns 174,992, 934 shares in the company which is estimated to be more than $11 billion. What’s interesting is that this only accounts for about 13 per cent of his revenue.

Gates also has investments in Canadian National Railway, tractor maker Deere and Co. and car dealer Auto Nation. Gates last year also announced the creation of a $1 billion Breakthrough Energy investment fund with about 20 other people including Amazon and Alibaba, the report suggests.

Investor Warren Buffet of Berkshire Hathaway ranks second with a net worth of $77.1 billion with Amancio Ortego ranking third with about $74.1 billion. Amazon’s Jeff Bezos is fourth with $73.8 billion, followed by Carlos Slim with $58/6 billion and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg ranking sixth with about $58.6 billion.

Another interesting fact about Bill Gates is that he regularly sells Microsoft shares. Currently, he only owns about 2.5 per cent of the company shares. Despite of that, he has managed to be the richest person on the planet for 18 of the past 23 years.
