All the phones which support ARCore can now run the Measure app successfully.

Google's ARCore system revolutionised the things you can do with your phone and one such tool is Measure. This app gives you an approximate measurement of things you focus your phone's camera on. However, the application was supported only by a few premium phones but the list of models compatible to it has extended now.

With the latest update received by ARCore-oriented Measure app, devices such as Google Pixel 2, Samsung Galaxy S9 and LG G7 ThinQ are now compatible with the tool. In fact, all the phones which support ARCore can now run Measure app successfully. Before the implementation of ARCore, Project Tango used to handle all the augmented reality-based tasks on phone. However, this demanded highly configured cameras and sensors. With the introduction of ARCore, many phones have gotten compatible with this technology.

Measure app helps you to calculate the height and length of objects in your surrounding. After opening the app and selecting the parameter (height/length), you need to adjust two points on each end of the object on the screen. Resultantly, you get the measurement of the object displayed on your screen. Apple has also announced Measure app for the iPhone users at WWDC which will come with iOS 12.
