Samsung had initiated the trend of putting minimal bezels on its phones with this year’s Galaxy S8. Several other manufacturers have followed suit, reducing the number of bezels on their phones to extremely thin lines. Therefore, rumours have now started floating about the Galaxy S9 sporting even lesser bezels around its display.

A report from SamMobile details the possibility of the Galaxy S9 sporting ultra-thin bezels with 90 percent screen-to-body-ratio. To put in comparison, the Galaxy S8 came with 84 percent screen-to-body ratio. However, it seems that Samsung flagship won’t be able to beat the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2’s score of 91.3 percent. Nonetheless, a phone with a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio won’t be a sore in the eye, given that the current Galaxy S8 is one of the best-looking smartphones we have ever seen.

However, since this a rumour, expect this to not be a part of standard specification list. Previous rumours have suggested that the Galaxy S9 will share the same fate as the Galaxy S7 and will essentially sport internal updates as well as get the Note 8’s dual camera setup.
